The 3.3L GL Premium models and the 3.3L GLS come with 18-inch alloy wheels, while all other models come with 16-inch alloy wheels.
Transmission
The silky smooth 6-speed automatic transmission with SHIFTRONIC™ is the first 6-speed automatic transmission in Hyundai’s lineup and comes standard on all models.
Brakes
ABS helps to maintain vehicle steering control while braking and comes standard on all models. During abrupt and hard braking, the brakes are automatically applied and released several times per second to prevent tires from slipping due to wheel locking.
Side Beams
Santa Fe's ultra-safe body design includes safety cage construction, steel side-impact door beams and built-in front and rear crumple zones.
Suspension
Compared to the truck-derived suspensions of most SUVs, Santa Fe's 4-wheel independent suspension offers superior comfort and stability.
Standard on all Santa Fe models is Electronic Stability Control (ESC) with Traction Control System (TCS), a cutting-edge driving stability system designed to sense oversteer and understeer conditions. During unexpected and dangerous situations, it adjusts the braking power of each wheel to help restore the driver's course.
Electronic Stability Control (ESC) with Traction Control is meant to enhance conscientious driving habits and is not a substitute for proper driving procedures.
1 The Supplemental Restraint (Airbag) System (SRS) is designed to work with the 3-point seatbelt system. The SRS deploys in certain front end impact conditions where significant injury is likely. The SRS is not a substitute for seatbelts which must still be worn at all times. Children under the age of 13 should be securely restrained in the rear seat. NEVER place a rear-facing child seat in the front seat of a vehicle with a passenger-side airbag.
